Orphaned and Separated Children

✅A child who has survived BVD or whose parent has died from BVD is NOT a source of infection once cleared by health authorities.✅

A child cleared by health staff is not contagious. They can return to school and community life.
They must be welcomed back 👐🏽— not excluded.
If a child in your community has lost their caregiver and has no one to look after them — visit nearest health facility IMMEDIATELY. Child protection services will respond.
A recovered child returning to school 🎒 needs kindness and inclusion, not fear.
