Children under contact monitoring
If a child is identified as a close contact of someone with BVD:
- Contact monitoring is a PROTECTIVE measure — it does not mean the child is sick.
- During the 21-day monitoring period, the child should stay home⌚.
- If the child develops ANY symptom — 📞call or visit nearest health facility IMMEDIATELY. Do not wait for the health team's next scheduled visit.
- If the family needs food, water, or other support during monitoring — tell the health team. Support is available.
