Start small!
Do you want to celebrate and create awareness about your rights?
There are several international days to celebrate and recognize your rights. The UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated on 3 December of every year. During this day you can create your own event in your community or country.
There are other days such as the International Day of the Girl Child. Read more about all the international days here.
Check what your government may be planning during those international days on their website or from the national council of persons with disabilities. UNICEF also has some events that seek to amplify voices of children and youth with disabilities. Get in touch with UNICEF’s country office, Voices of Youth, ADAP, and GENU websites. Ask them how you can help!
