Reduce stigma related to cholera 🛑

As frontline workers and educators, managing misinformation and stigma around cholera is important to care for the health of members of our communities. These are some of the things we can do to prevent stigma and discrimination:

1. Quickly assess what people know and don’t know about the disease; use reliable information shared by national authorities and trusted sources 🫶
2. Have a mechanism in place to allow people who are feeling stigmatized to express their concern and ask for help 💁🏾
3. Partner with community leaders, groups and key people engaged in the response to cholera to address stigma 🧕🏾👩🏽‍🌾
4. Develop and carry out public messaging and community campaigns to fight stigma 📢
